Get involved: Earth Day 2019, April 20
Earth Day 2019
Protect Our Species
Saturday, April 20, 2019, 10 am – 2pm
Gough Park, Silver City
The Earth Day Planning Committee is gearing up for Earth Day 2019 Protect Our Species scheduled for Saturday, April 20 in Gough Park. We want Earth Day to be both a learning opportunity and an enjoyable day, so put your thinking caps on!
The theme of this year’s Earth Day is “Protect Our Species.” The number of animals living on the land has fallen by 40% since 1970. Animal populations in freshwater ecosystems have plummeted by 75% since 1970. What can we do, individually and as a community, to protect our species both locally and globally? How do we engage others in this dialogue, including our youth?
The first meeting of the planning committee is scheduled for Friday, February 1 at 2:00 at the GRIP office, 305A N. Cooper Street. If you cannot make the meeting, but would like to be on the Planning Committee, please contact Doyne Wrealli, GRIP Program Associate, at 575-297-9734, or at firstname.lastname@example.org
For those of you wanting to reserve booth space, fill out the registration form and send back to GRIP.
