Join Us for Gila Earth Day 2021
Every April, Gila Earth Day gathers together organizations, businesses, and classrooms in Silver City to showcase their mission, services, or green products to improve the yard, home, and planet. We “Think Globally and Act Locally”!
Given that we are still in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic, this year’s Gila Earth Day will be a two-pronged event, offering virtual opportunities and a Community Action Day.
The virtual event will extend across the month of April, streaming films and other content submitted by organizations, classrooms, and individuals on the theme of Restore Our Earth. Online access will be provided closer to the event.
The Community Action Day will be held on Saturday, April 24th. Volunteers can participate in several activities such as trash pick-up, replanting native vegetation, clearing trails, and other similar activities. Participants will be required to follow COVID-safe practices including social distancing and masking up.
