Gila Earth Day X Trail Days celebration set for April 22nd

Given last year’s successful joint event between Gila Earth Day and Continental Divide Trail Days, we are going to do it again on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10 am – 2 pm in Gough Park!

Earth Week kicks off Saturday, April 15 with a Pick It Up – Toss No Mas Earth Day Trash Cleanup from 9 am – noon at the Gough Park parking lot, as well as a San Vicente Creek Volunteer Planting Day from 9 am – 3pm. For more information and to sign up, click here.

This year’s international Earth Day celebration encourages participants to “invest in our planet” by taking action on a variety of topics.

Gila Earth Day will take on sustainable fashion with an Upcycled Fashion Show and clothing swap. Sign up for the fashion show here. Fashion show starts at 12:30 at the Gazebo in Gough Park.

Other activities to date include a BioBlitz, scavenger hunt, and pancake breakfast and music by DJ Ronnie Foxwitt.
