ACTION ALERT: Trump is about to take away our health protections
President Donald Trump and EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt are siding with corporate polluters and endangering our health. Polluters who willfully endanger public health and safety by breaking the law need to face the consequences. Any attempt to loosen pollution safeguards – as Trump and Pruitt are proposing – is a direct assault on our health.
The Trump administration is moving to rig the system for polluters, under the guise of so-called “regulatory reform.” This is wrong. Regulatory reform is a giveaway to corporate polluters like mining giant Freeport-McMoRan, owner of the Chino, Cobre and Tyrone mines here in Grant County, and perilous for our health and environment.
Submit your public comment TODAY to support stronger EPA standards to ensure safer, cleaner energy and clean air and water for an American public that demands it. We cannot allow corporate polluters to drive the conversation around our health. It’s time to stand up for every American’s right to clean air, clean water, and a healthy future.
Comments you could make (personalized comments are best!):
- We need the EPA to strengthen pollution safeguards. Americans depend on the EPA to protect us from the harmful pollution that makes it harder for us to breathe.
- We need the EPA to fulfill its mission to “protect human health and the environment” by upholding and enforcing pollution safeguards and not letting corporate polluters play fast and loose with our health.
- I live in a mining-impacted community and we need EPA to ensure that mining giant Freeport-McMoRan’s copper mines are following environmental laws that protect our water, air and land.
- I live in the arid state of New Mexico. We can’t afford to let polluters contaminate our surface and groundwater. Every drop of water is precious and must be protected.
ACT NOW and tell EPA to protect us, not the polluters!
Thank you for speaking out!
